About the Gathering Barn

The Godwin Family purchased Keysley Farm in 1990. Set in glorious rural isolation, on the rolling South Wiltshire Downs, the family run arable farm is 300 hectares (760 acres) and has a central private drive running right through it, from the A303 to the picturesque village of Monkton Deverill. The chalk and flint downs, with large pockets of woodland, provide habitat for a wide range of fauna with hare, deer, badgers and foxes all frequently seen along with abundant birdlife including red kites, skylarks and lapwings.

With easy access directly off the A303, but a mile drive in so you are not aware it is there at all, the farm is a tranquil haven and offers magnificent far reaching 360 degree views.

The traditional brick and flint heritage barns, built in the 1800’s, started life as a general agricultural building, then a horse livery yard. On deterioration of the barn it was decided to give it a new lease of life and capitalise on the spectacular settling by transforming it into a venue for all occasions, with luxury accommodation.

Keysley is very proud to be self sufficient in all its electrical power. The large array of solar panels, discretely positioned on the grain store roof, provides enough electric annually for everything commercial and residential at the farm. A water harvesting plant and recycling at every opportunity are part of the Keysley ethos.

With individual, personal attention and careful attention to detail, The Gathering Barn can be hired in the knowledge that whatever the event it will be exclusively yours to create your very own bespoke occasion.
